SO I KNOW THAT THERE WERE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THAT.

PETER LANDY ORIGINALLY DESIGNATED A LIMIT SEVEN OH 5,001 10 FOR AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OFF TO EXCEED 8 2 1, UM, FIVE 10.

AND, UH, RICH? YES.

YOU HERE? I'M, UM, UM, UH, ANY REASON FOR, UH, THE CHANGE ORDERS? SO I DON'T KNOW IF JIM IS ON, HE WAS GOING TO SIGN ON TO EXPLAIN, BUT THIS IS THE, UH, THE WORK ON OLD HARRY TOWN ROAD IN MANHATTAN AVENUE, WHICH I KNOW EVERYBODY HAS SEEN, UH, HAS COME IN UNDER BUDGET.

WE, THE, THE WORK GOT DONE FOR LESS AND WE ARE ABLE TO, WE'VE BEEN PLANNING OUT JIM AND HAS BEEN WORKING RELENTLESSLY TO GET THE ARDSLEY ROAD, FORT HILL ROAD SIDEWALK DESIGN, AND HE'S GOT THE ARDSLEY ROAD PART OF IT DONE.

AND WE'RE ABLE TO KEEP THIS CONTRACT WHO'S DONE AN UNBELIEVABLE JOB ALONG OLD ENTIRE TOWN IN MANHATTAN, UM, ONBOARD IF WE APPROVE THIS TO START THE FIRST LEG OF THE ALEY ROAD PROJECT.

AND ONE OF THE REASONS WE REALLY WANT TO GET THIS DONE SOONER THAN LATER IS STILL DUE TO THE COVID THE, THE TRAFFIC IS LESS.

THIS IS A VERY HEAVILY TRAVELED ROAD.

AND THEN IF WE WERE BACK TO THE FULL SCREEN, OKAY, SO THESE

ARE ONE OF THOSE, YOU KNOW, THAT I'M ALWAYS MINDFUL WHEN WE GIVE OUT AN AWARD AND TO THE LOW BIDDER, AND THEN THERE'S AN ENORMOUS CHANGE.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WAS 500, $705,000.

WE'RE NOT DOING AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF 821.

WELL, WHICH IS $1.5 MILLION.

AND YEAH.

WOULD WE, IF WE DID ALL OF THIS AND PUT THIS OUT AT ONE TIME, WOULD WE GET A BETTER, BETTER DEAL OR MORE BIDS AND MORE COMPETITIVE BIDS THAN SAYING YES, YOU KNOW, THE LOW BIDS.

SO NOW HERE, HERE'S ADDITIONAL AMOUNT, DO MORE, UM, THE AMOUNT THAT THEY'RE, BUT THEY'RE DOING IT AT THE SAME COST AS THE PREVIOUS ONE.

YES.

IT'S A UNIT PRICE PROJECT, SO IT'S NOT LUMP SUM.

SO IT'S NOT, UM, YOU KNOW, AND THE TOWN HAS THE ABILITY TO ADD OR SUBTRACT OFF THAT CONTRACT, RIGHT? SO THERE'S A UNIT PRICED PER LINEAR FOOT OF, UH, SIDEWALK CURB, YOU KNOW, UH, A MULTITUDE OF ITEMS. I WILL TELL YOU, WE, UH, THIS, YOU KNOW, THE, THE OLD TAR TOWN ROAD IS RECENT PROJECT AND WE HAVE BID OTHERS, AND THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IS TELLING ME THAT NUMBERS ARE COMING IN VERY CONSISTENT.

SO THIS IS A UNIT PRICE PROJECT, IT'S JUST AN EXTENSION OF THE, THE UNITS.

SO FOR INSTANCE, IF IT WAS A THOUSAND LINEAR FEET OF CURB, WE'RE ADDING A THOUSAND TO IT.

SO THE COST DOESN'T CHANGE AND IT WAS RECENTLY BID AND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK YOU'RE SATISFIED WITH, UH, YOU GOTTA DRIVE DOWN OLD TARRYTOWN ROAD IN MANHATTAN AVENUE.

AND I THINK DURING THE WHOLE PROJECT, THEY'VE, I THINK THEY'VE HAD ONE ISSUE OF RECENT, AND IT WAS WITH THE HOMEOWNER THAT JUST DIDN'T WANT THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF THEIR HOUSE.

I MEAN, THE WORK IS IMPECCABLE.

THEY, THEY ALSO DID, UH, THE SIDEWALK ON, UH, WHAT, RIGHT.

AND, UH, AND COLUMBIA AVENUE, THIS FIRM.

ISN'T THAT TRUE, RICH? I I LOST J AGAIN.

I'M SORRY, WHAT WAS THAT? THEY, THEY DID LAWTON AND COLUMBIA, THAT FIRM.

YEAH.

THEY'VE DONE, THEY, THEY'RE GETTING USED TO WORKING IN GREENBERG, LIKE WORKING HERE.

I'VE, I'VE RECEIVED LIKE ZERO COMPLAINTS FROM, UM, FROM RESIDENTS ABOUT, UH, THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

IN FACT, UM, YOU KNOW, PEOPLE WERE JUST PRAISED, YOU KNOW, A COUPLE YEAR, ABOUT A YEAR OR TWO AGO WHEN THEY DID, UM, YOU KNOW, THE COLUMBIA AVENUE, UM, AND THE LAWTON, UM, PEOPLE WERE LIKE SO LIKE, THRILLED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

THEY WERE JUST THANKING THEM, YOU KNOW, TREMENDOUSLY.

NO, IT'S, THEY'RE DOING A NICE JOB.

WELL, YOU KNOW, THINGS LIKE THIS COULD LOOK GOOD, YOU KNOW, JUST, BUT IT'S WHEN, WHEN THE ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO ARE INSPECTING IT, YOU KNOW, OUR TOWN PROFESSIONALS ARE INSPECTING IT AND SEEING THAT, YOU KNOW, WHAT'S UNDER WHAT YOU SEE IS DONE CORRECTLY, THAT'S REALLY WHAT MATTERS.

'CAUSE THAT MEANS IT'S GOING TO LAST A WHILE.

OH NO, THIS IS YOU, YOU, YOU SHOULD SEE THE QU THIS IS, YOU KNOW, THE INSPECTORS WERE MARVELING AT, YOU KNOW, THE, THE WORK THEY DID.

IF YOU GO ON LAW AND THEN YOU JUST SEE THE MASONRY, YOU KNOW, AND THE QUALITY, I MEAN, IT'S JUST UNBELIEVABLE.

IT ACTUALLY ENHANCED PEOPLE'S PROPERTY VALUES.
