EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO SPEAK BEFORE THE TOWN BOARD ON ANY SUBJECT;
HOWEVER, PERSONAL ATTACKS, OF ANY KIND, TOWARD ANYONE, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED

The Greenburgh Town Board appreciates comments from residents at its open meetings.  Recently, comments have been made that, whether intended or not, were hurtful to other members of the public because the comment perpetuated racial or religious tropes and stereotypes.  We believe it is appropriate to remind everyone that bigotry and hate have no place in Greenburgh.  As we move forward we will work together to educate each other around this issue.  Our goal is to maintain a robust and constructive dialogue.  We are confident that this Town can continue to have these dialogues.

In Memory of Robert David Dam, 71, of Thornwood, passed September 10, 2022, after retiring August 19 from the Town of Greenburgh after 22 years of dedicated service as a Deputy Building Inspector, and then Building Inspector his last year. He also was an Air Force veteran.  In his spare time he enjoyed helping his children complete projects on their homes, visiting with his brother in Florida and tinkering with electronics.  The time he enjoyed most though was being Pop-Pop to his four grandchildren.  Robert was also an avid Harry Potter fan and enjoyed collecting movie memorabilia and attending Harry Potter themed events.  Robert is survived by his wife, Laura; his four children, Michelle, Ronald, Paul and Christina; his brother Ronald and sister-in-law Patricia; his daughters-in-law, Yinette and Bella; his sons-in-law Franco and Richard, and countless nieces and nephews and their children.  He will be missed greatly by all his family, friends and former co-workers.  Expecto Patronum, Bob!  Your eternal guardian has come.

In memory of Vincent Masucci, Greenburgh Town Engineer (June-August 2022).  Vincent was a well respected Professional Engineer with over 44 years of public service in Engineering and Building. Prior to coming to the Town of Greenburgh, Vincent held positions as the Village Engineer for the Village of Port Chester, Project Specialist for FEMA, Contract Engineer for the New York Power Authority, Director Housing and Building for the City of Yonkers, Building Inspector for the Town/Village of Harrison and Director of Engineering for the City of White Plains. Vincent was a dedicated and devoted public servant that was beloved by his fellow employees. Vince had quickly become a part of our Greenburgh family and he will be deeply missed by all of us.

In memory of Victor (Vic) Leviatin, who was a giant in the community.  His work as the founder of the WISE program at Woodlands and across the nation changed students lives for the better.  He did more to enhance the reputation of the Woodlands School District than anyone and helped inspire students to achieve their dreams and lead successful lives.  He proved that one does not have to hold an elective office to make a big difference in people's lives.

In memory of Anne B. Proia, a lifelong resident of Hastings on Hudson passed away on her 90th birthday, August 19, 2022.  Anne worked for the Town of Greenburgh in the Building Department for twenty three years before retiring in 1995.  Anne was dedicate to her career, even obtaining her notary public license.

In memory of the 1,039,578+ individual victims of COVID-19 who have died in the United States, 6,495,430+ deaths worldwide, each leaving family members and friends too soon

In memory of the people in Ukraine killed during Russia's invasion and relentless intentional targeted bombing of civilians in apartment buildings, hospitals, train stations, schools and children centers in an effort to destroy Ukraine and its people, who are forced to fight for their land, their freedom, and general democratic priniciples. May they rest in peace and peace be restored to Ukraine.
