Lowell’s life was devoted to family, education, music, travel, cultural events and community service. A former teacher and principal in New York City schools, as well as a former teacher here in Greenburgh, Lowell was also an accomplished musician and “piano man.” He volunteered his time and shared his love for playing Broadway tunes on the piano at many town events including the Annual New Residents Reception, the Annual Veterans Barbeque and several other special events. Lowell and Judith Pollack, inseparable as they were, cheerfully and willingly volunteered at any and all special events sponsored by the Town of Greenburgh over the past several years. He was a member of the Town of Greenburgh’s Community Emergency Response Team and, together, they also helped deliver Meals-on-Wheels, volunteered with the Westchester Philharmonic and served as mentors to area youth. Lowell will be profoundly missed.
